Everyone’s riding a bicycle

So I know that everyone’s biking nowadays, specially with gas still being a bit pricey, but I was a bit surprised to see a big-time CSUN athlete riding one today.

I was walking back from Burger King (Just walking. I didn’t eat anything)and I noticed Tremaine Townsend, the Matadors’ basketball team’s six-foot-nine forward, following behind with a bag of food. All of a sudden he was no longer there. A minute later, he reapperared, riding his bike to an unknown destiny.

For those of you who aren’t too familiar with Townsend: He’s a beast on the boards. He was recently selected to the All-Big West Conference First Team. He’s gooooooood.

Not that he shouldn’t ride a bike or anything, but I didn’t picture him riding one. I figured he’d be “too cool” to ride a bike. Not that it’s “uncool” to get yourself around campus with a bike (I want one), but… I don’t know. I was just a bit surprised.

Goes to show you that these guys are just students like any of us.
