Rob Haynes in attendance

Although CSUN starting guard Rob Haynes will not play tonight, he traveled with the team. He’s sitting on the Matador bench chatting with Assistant Coach Louis Wilson. And here’s the Cal Poly band loud and wearing what looks like Brazilian soccer jerseys.

Live from SLO, 30 mins till tip-off

This is Alonso Tacanga at the greened-out Mott Gym in Cal Poly. Some FSN Prime Ticket cameras are making their way around what I presume to be the Mustangs’ student section and the girls are making noise as if they were on TV, which they will be. Not the biggest gym in the Big West, actually it’s quite comperable to The Matadome, with the exception that there are seats behind the backboards. The injury happened when the senior dove for a loose ball in the opening minutes of the first half and apparently hit his head. He also split his lip. He was taken to a hospital for a diagnostic test and while X-rays were negative, he will miss Saturday’s game at Cal Poly, Head Athletic Trainer Steve Grech said Friday. “He’s fine, but he still… Read more
