Rocking out at the pub

A $500,000 grant from the William Myron Keck Foundation will allow CSUN students and undergraduates students to be introduced to the field of nanotechnology.
The fear of being labeled crazy, weak, or just afraid of confrontation, are a variety of reasons why people are afraid to seek counseling.
The Anteaters are in absolute control and are just having fun out on the court. Michael Hunter tried to go through the legs of Rodrigue Mels for a bounce pass. Now, guard Patrick Rembert approaches Eric Wise with a smile as the forward shoots a free throw. CSUN’s down 67-43 with 9:16 to go. I hope they didn’t Tivo themselves tonight.
The Anteaters have expanded their lead to 57-36 with 15:07 to go in the game. Michael Hunter and Eric Wise have joined the scoring party and have 13 and 12 points respectively. UCI is shooting 50 percent from the field.
Brett Lauer finished the half with a 3-pointer. He hasn’t missed all night long. He has 15 points, all on threes. The basket sent CSUN into halftime with its biggest deficit of the night. The Matadors are down 41-25. CSUN needs only one thing to get out of Irvine with a win: a miracle.
UCI’s Michael Hunter with a steal and a layup. Then a 3-pointer to give UCI a 34-21 lead with 3:44 to go in the first half. Then Rob Haynes tries one of his own, and he hits the right side of the backboard. It was ugly. Things can get uglier. I’m sure. No wonder CSUN hasn’t won here in three seasons.
Vincent Cordell’s 3-pointer has cut UCI’s lead to 26-20. Immediately after he buried the shot, Cordell pointed at the sky and put his hands together as if in prayer. Was that his first three of the season? I sure don’t remember him making any others. CSUN and Irvine are shooting the same, 7-of-17 with 7:30 to go in the first half.
Bobby Braswell sure does. The guard led UCI in points when the Anteaters lost at CSUN on Jan. 24 and he’s doing some damage tonight as well. Lauer, who had 17 points at Northridge. has nine points at the 12:00 first-half mark. He got them all through 3-pointers. CSUN’s not looking sharp and trails 21-11.
