Regarding starting point guard Josh Jenkins, who was in an automobile accident Saturday:

“Another unexpected event … the blessing of it is that Josh is alive and that he’s going to recover. How long will it take? I don’t know.”

“Things like this happen in life. I can’t be frustrated about it. I believe everything happens for a purpose and a reason. We don’t always understand. We don’t always know why, but I do know that every time you have adversity, it’s an opportunity to grow.”

“I’ve visited Josh the last  couple of days at the hospital … and it’s going to be a while. It’s going to take some time. We’re pulling for him to get healthy.”

“(Could this end his season?) It’s a possibility. Yeah, it could be.”

“It’s a big blow to us, but we’re going to be okay. It’s going to be tough for us, but these guys have shown a lot of toughness and tenacity. We can do that again.”
