‘Snapshots’ honors dead students

The dance program at CSUN is one that often doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, but this weekend ‘Snapshots – A Dance Experience’ put on a show proving that it is not one to be overlooked. The performance was sponsored by the Department of Kinesiology and College of Health and Human Development and took place on March 28 at the Plaza Del Sol Performance Hall.

Matadors lose two of three at home

The Matadors baseball team dropped two of three games to Cal State Fullerton over the weekend at Matador Field to continue a downward slide that stemmed from the series with Cal Poly a weekend before.

The streak is now a losing one

The Cal State Northridge softball team (23-14, 3-5) lost two games to UC Santa Barbara Saturday afternoon at the Gauchos’ Softball Complex. The losses now have the Matadors in a five-game losing streak. CSUN was 20-3 over its past 23 games before the current skid.

Matadors heading the wrong way

It was a bittersweet weekend for the No. 3 Matadors men’s volleyball team as they split a pair of matches against No. 10 UC San Diego and No. 8 Long Beach State. The 3-1 Friday victory over the Tritons clinched the third spot in the upcoming Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament. The good feeling didn’t last long as the Matadors dropped their next game, 3-1, to the 49ers on Saturday at the Walter Pyramid.
