Corporate welfare is 50 billion in California alone.Check this link from the libertarian Cato Institute: http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=8230 . The Federal Government gives out $92 billion in corporate welfare, this doesn't even include whatt he 49 other states give out.

healthcare for all is an investment in the productivity of the American economy. we spend more on healthcare than any other country in the world, yet we leave 50 million uninsured. Why? Insurance companies.

If you cut out the middle man, you can save billions AND cover everyone. prevention should be key, thus saving taxpayers money. insure a child, and they can go to the family doctor costing less than $100, instead of waiting until an ear infection becomes a catastrophic illness at the ER as their only healthcare option, costing taxpayers thousands.

Well you have part of the problem defined here correctly. Please do not forget that every spending bill that you vote yes on is money that could have been spent on your education. There is only one well that the state, county, city or federal government draws it's money from. You! Every spending program you pay for. Every bailout comes out of your pocket. The latest program you heard of was the government money that you could get for you clunker to buy a new car, well that came out of your pocket. Now tell me how to do feel about helping someone else get a new car at the expense of your education. Call it corporate wellfare, labor union bailout, pork barrel spending, healthcare for all. Its all the same thing! Your money going into someone else's pocket with nothing in return for you.
