Those people claiming Facebook is 'the only way' of communicating overseas, um, email works world wide. It's not just the country you live in.

If I send you an email, only you and I will know about it (ok and maybe a snoopy IT guy might find it during a routine server clean up or what ever the hell they do at the end of the month).

But if put a post on you wall, well all of your friends (none of them I know) are going to see it. Plus my friends will see the 'has posted on X's wall' link.

Email is secure and private (not 100% but close) oh and it has a handy feature called Attach. It's amazing, it lets you actually put pictures in with you written message. Also you can send the same message to multiple people in another feature called Groups. It saves you having to type out the same message over and over again. Well ok you could just cut n paste I suppose.

Facebook is about 70% private. But you have to make sure your account is set to private to get this 70% figure. If you're public you have 0% privacy. I mean the fact that you may have a private account yet I (a stranger) can still print out a list of your friends, with a photo of them is a huge privacy violation in itself. I don't even need Facebook after that.

Mind how you go.

Facebook needs to update their design. People get bored of the same thing. It's FUN to discover how new websites work.

Facebook has been good about changing their style (usually to the public's initial outrage, and then people can't imagine going back), and keeping their site fresh.

It's like a restaurant most always be changing their menu. Twitter is the next big thing. People like following celebrities.

Twitter is mainstream already though, I'm ready for a new social networking site!
