There is a lot of discussion in regards to hate mongering on this page. Mr. Cohen himself accuses others of being hateful and ignorant. But interestingly enough I heard Mr. Cohen address our class today and I must say, I have honestly never heard someone as hateful as him. Its no surprise that he states that “(Glatzer) is ‘Projecting’ a brutality onto the Israelis which he knows to actually be true of the Arabs.” Mr. Cohen made no attempt to hide his true beliefs. He thinks that everyone harbors hatred for everyone else (including all Arabs) and that the only solution for the Israeli conflict is the total destruction of the Arab states. He labeled himself a fascist when it comes to foreign policy and he proposed that as leader of the world he would invade and conquer the Arab capitals of the Middle East from Damascus and beyond. (talk about intolerance). Mr. Cohen talks about people who hate others and is quick to judge in his letter, but he refuses to acknowledge his own ingrained hatred. It seems to me that he is also someone who suffers from the “mania” he discusses.

Radicals come in all shapes and sizes and can be found in every group. They represent an angry, bigoted worldview and harbor a notion of collective hopelessness. They firmly believe that there can never be a better tomorrow and therefore they advocate a path of violence, racism and inequality over cooperation. Their agendas may vary but they share the same road of intolerance. But hopefully, one day, they will realize their misdeeds and begin to change direction for the sake of humanity.

Dear Wayne,

I couldn't have said it more succinctly myself. The following is an email I just sent to the editor in chief of the Sundial Liliana Oustinovskaya, as well as the opinions editor, William Herbe :

Seems to me you have among your senior staff a writer who violates every policy your newspaper claims to stand for . His name is Joseph Glatzer , and I think it is time that your staff review exactly who he is and what he stands for.

http://sundial.csun.edu/about/comment-policy/

In addition to the hate mongering lies he promotes on your campus, he is also involved in the following which is no less than a campaign to incite continued hate and violence towards the state of Israel.

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=97502218363&v=feed&story_fbid=167846618363

It is shocking and outrageous that a major university such as CSUN , which is located in a state that is home to the second largest Jewish population in the United States should stand for this brand of rabid racism based on the fabrications of a sick and hate filled mind.

Sincerely,

Orly Grace Frank

Alright, which of your many flawed argunments do I chop down first? First of all you say that Israel was promised as a Jewish state by British Mandate. In case you forgot the British promised the same land to the Arabs residing in said territory. Next Israel a democracy? Ok, in a world where apartheid South Africa can be considered a democracy, yes Israel is a perfect democracy, because restricting access to such critical resources as hospitals, roads and medical treatment to a powerful minority group which leaving the ethnic majority destitute is very democratic. You say that it was not the UN which gave Israel its statehood, but to the contrary it was won on the battlefield. I'm confused, did you use this as your claim for Israels right to a Jewish state. You have just undermined your claims for legitimacy. Finally let me respond to your claim that Israel not infact occupied land but desputed land. The borders of the Palestinian territories, known as the green line are unanimously recognized as legitimate by the entire world with the exception of two nations, the U.S. and Israel. In accordance with this the majority of the world, the UN inparticular, recognize the Palestinian territories as occupied lands. For someone who throws out the label of "liar" so freely it might be a good thing to get your facts straight yourself.
