Getting the Olympics here in the US would mean thousands of jobs, a boost to our economy, and global prestige. That sound good to me. Relax, he was gone for how long? And to show face on the global stage? How does it look if other nations send heads of state (as Brazil did) and the U.S. shows that the Olympics, the premiere event in the world and the only one that truly unites every person on this planet, is really not important. Again, he went for a few days (if that, counting air time), made a presentation and came back home. Don't see much work getting done in Washington, or even Sacramento for that matter, in the hiccup of time Obama was overseas. Really think that this trip is going to be the downfall of America? I've never been a fan of the Olympics, but America MUST rebuild it's reputation with other countries. This would help. Obama has not made such a pledge. So, going to Copenhagen for Olympics=good.
