Men’s volleyball remains focused after first home victory

The Matadors finally picked up their first home win of the season Friday after defeating third-ranked Long Beach State in an improbable five-set match. Northridge was on a six-match losing streak before facing the 49ers. Freshman middle blocker Greg Faulkner sealed the win with a hard kill down the middle, snapping Long Beach’s four-game winning streak, bringing CSUN’s first win since Jan. 15 against UCLA. Water polo finally in home pool

After 11 consecutive games away from home, the Matadors will finally make their home debut on Saturday. “We are all excited to have a game at home and have our family and friends there to cheer us on,” freshman attacker Melissa Doll said. A.S. allocates supplemental funds to ASO, LGBTA

A.S. allocated additional funds to African Student Organization (ASO) and LGBTA from an account of “unassigned contingency funds” which holds $80,000, said Vahan Khodanian, director of finance. ASO received $800 for a Black History Month benefit concert to supplement their $6,000 budget while LGTBA was granted an unofficial loan of $885 for Gay Prom.
