The Cal State Northridge women’s volleyball team made changes to its starting lineup Friday night, hoping it would bring in its first home victory of the season and a 2-0 start in Big West Conference play, but Long Beach State didn’t allow it. BREAKING: Suspect who fled from stolen vehicle apprehended on CSUN campus

Police apprehended a suspect who ran across six lanes of traffic and onto campus Thursday after leading police on a car pursuit. An LAPD motorcycle officer attempted to pull over an erratic driver near Nordhoff Street and Etiwanda Avenue at about 5:45 p.m., said Captain Kris Pitcher of Devonshire LAPD. Suspected CSUN gunman released on bail

CSUN philosophy student Gahren Moradian, 22, was released on bail Wednesday night.  He was charged with felony criminal threat stemming from suspicion he claimed to have a gun in the Oviatt Library Tuesday, prompting the building’s evacuation. If convicted, Moradian could face up to three years in state prison. He is due to appear in North Valley Municipal court on Oct. 19. Every morning, hundreds of students head to CSUN on congested freeways, crowded buses, bicycles and skateboards to make it to class on time.
