CSUN real estate professor Donald Bleich dies in his home

CSUN professor of real estate and department chair, Donald Bleich, died May 18 in his Los Angeles home. The cause of death was not available. Bleich completed his Ph.D in real estate at UCLA before joining the CSUN department of finance, real estate, and Insurance in 1985. Northridge (23-30, 10-14) headed into the weekend preparing to face the worst team in the Big West but you wouldn’t have known it after Pacific (16-40, 6-18) completed the three-game sweep Sunday, 6-1. Cal State Chancellor Charles B. Reed announces retirement

The California State University chancellor, Charles Reed, announced his plans for retirement Thursday after serving for 14 years as leader of one of the nation’s largest institutions of higher education. Reed will continue to serve until a new chancellor is appointed by the CSU Board of Trustees, according to a statement released by the chancellor. CSUN commits costly errors, falls to UC Davis

Junior Cal Vogelsang stretches to make the out at first against UC Davis Friday. Although Vogelsang managed to make the out, CSUN failed to keep the Aggies off the base paths and lost 9-5.

Northridge has had a knack of getting on the scoreboard early at Matador Field but Friday was an exception. The Matadors (22-25, 9-10 Big West) allowed UC Davis (23-28, 9-10) to build up a nine-run lead through the first four innings en route to a 9-5 conference loss. Why the upper division writing exam should be eliminated

On April 29, thousands of students lined up along the outside of Bayramian Hall to register for the Upper Division Writing Proficiency Exam (UDWPE).
