The Student Recreation Center will be hosting a series of American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED classes on Saturdays to certify students in responding to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies.

The program, which costs $32 and includes lunch, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 23, March 23, April 20 and May 4.

The February and March classes are currently at a 25-person capacity, but there are still openings for the April and May classes. The locations of the courses are to-be-announced and will be emailed with a detailed map closer to the date of the certificate program.

Students must register for the course at the SRC membership desk where they can also pay the enrollment fee

An active SRC membership is not necessary to attend, but students must fall into a qualifying category for a membership.

The First Aid/CPR/AED certification will be valid for 2 years from the date of course completion.
