The Valley Performing Arts Center is one of the first theaters in Southern California to present Sid The Science Kid. The childrens’ show airs on PBS and teaches kids educational lessons while having fun. The show brought in a huge crowd of kids screaming, cheering Sid on. In this performance, the characters taught the kids about their five senses, all while dancing and singing along to their lessons. The colorful stage drew the audience’s attention up front and kept the kids mesmerized.

During the intermission, the interim executive director, Steve Thachuk said The Valley Performing Arts Center is aiming at including more family friendly shows. The show concluded with Sid and his friends singing about all the day’s lessons. Many parents were excited to have a kid friendly show, at a great price, close to home.
