Crafting your own flower crown

Crafting+your+own+flower+crown

Here are a ten easy steps to make your own flower crowns at home that are easy and perfect to wear for music festivals.

Before we begin anything make sure to have the following items:

  • Fake flowers of any size/shape/color
  • Flower wire
  • Wire cutter
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Felt (any color will work)

All of these items can be purchased at a hobby or craft store for cheap.

Now that you have everything you will need let’s get creative!

Step one: Pick the perfect flowers for your crown.

Step two: With the flower wire, circle it from the back/crown of your head three times to make sure the wire is sturdy enough to hold the flowers. Then, cut the excess wire with your wire cutters.

Step three: To make sure the wire will stay well put together manage to twist a section of the wire all the way around as much as you can.

It should end up looking like this. And if it doesn’t that’s okay too because it will work out in the end.

Step four: Get your felt and cut it the width of your pinky (cut enough for it to circle the entire wire. Again it does not have to be perfect as it won’t be noticeable).

Step five: Glue the felt around the wire.

Step six: Pick the exact flowers you want and measure them around the wire to make sure how many you will need.

Step seven: Cut the bottom stems of the plastic flowers to be able to glue the flowers to the felt/wire.

Step eight: Let’s start gluing those flowers.

Tip: Make sure to press against the flowers and the wire until you feel like it is dry enough to stay in place. I would recommend pressing against them for 20 seconds.

Before you know it, you’ll have a full crown filled with flowers!

Step nine: Some last minute touch-ups grab some leaves that came with your flowers and hot glue them on in any way or direction.

Step ten: You are all set! Just give you crown some time to fully dry! You are now music festival ready!
