Veale finished 20th overall with a time of 23.38 seconds in her first-ever USATF Championships. She was third in the Big West at 200 meters, and ran a lifetime-best of 23.29 at the NCAA Preliminary Round on May 29. Veale ran against some of the world’s best such as junior Jenna Prandini of the University of Oregon, who was a driving force behind the Duck’s first Women’s Track and Field championship since 1984, fellow sprinters sophomore Kyra Jefferson from the University of Florida and NCAA 200-meter champion Dezerea Bryant from the University of Kentucky.

In his CSUN career, Horsley first earned All-America honors in 2013. He finished 17th overall in the 100 meters with a time of 10.22 at the NCAA Championships. The Oakland, Calif. native finished seventh in his heat 19th overall with a time of 20.85 in the 200 meters.

Horsley’s 100 and 200 meter times at the national championships were his third-best times of the season in both events.

Horsley is the only male in Big West Conference history to win both the 100 and 200 meters three times. He is also the Matador record holder for both events.

His career-best times are 10.03 in the 100 meters and 20.70 in the 200 meters.
