What would you consider as criteria to make Time magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2011?

Time magazine just released their list of the 100 most influential people of 2011. On the list were the expected Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Julian Assange and the many other faces that impact our media today. We may know them or have heard their name somewhere before, but there were a few names that came into question. We can let Prince William and Kate Middleton pass and I can see how Justin Bieber is influential, but Blake Lively and Bruno… Read more

DIY & an UPCYLCE a necklace for Earth Day

Believe it or not, this necklace was free and it was made out of an old t-shirt. Doesn’t look like it, does it? All you have to do is find a previously loved shirt that is in gently used condition and get crafty. Any color or print works, but generally, the best necklaces are made from simple prints or plain colored t-shirts. The shirt, a pair of scissors and 15 minutes are all that you need. You can string beads… Read more

Celebrate Earth Day with an upcycle

Like my necklace? Like today’s issue? Too bad we aren’t printed on recycled paper. Ironic isn’t it? I would think… Read more

A few fun, naughty and creative ways to celebrate World Water Day 2011

With World Water Day only one day away, I feel that the best way to promote it would be to suggest some fun and helpful ways to conserve water. Some things on the list are more fun, suggestive, interesting and creative. I looked up a bunch of conservation tips online, but these definitely are the ones that made me laugh, made me think or made me think “hey, that’s simple enough and I can do that!” Take shorter showers (or… Read more
