Protesters head to court to support CSUN students arrested during March 4 walkout

Students arrested last March during a protest against education budget cuts appeared in court Friday.  CSUN students Jonnae Thompson, Justin Marks, Anthony Garcia, Jose Gomez and Los Angeles Valley College student, Angel Guzman, face charges ranging from battery to failure to disperse. Professor’s editorial in LA Times supporting tuition increases sparks silent demonstration

Concerned CSUN students gathered outside the door of an economics class Wednesday afternoon as part of a silent demonstration. Students came out in response to an Op-Ed article Professor Shirley V. Svorny wrote for the L.A. Students hold ‘Die in’ to raise awareness of LGBT issues

CSUN students held a “die in” inside the first and second floor of the Oviatt Library Tuesday afternoon to call attention to the recent suicides among the LGBT community. Participants fell to the ground to symbolize the deaths affecting the LGBT community. Organizers of the “die in” gave a speech on homophobia and the bullying affecting LGBT youth. This year’s Cypress Hill Smokeout Festival brought together a variety of music fans from all walks of life with one common interest in mind: decriminalizing marijuana.
