Women’s Basketball: Matadors complete final road trip with loss at Hawai’i

Finishing up their final road game of the regular season, the Matadors (13-15, 7-9 Big West) traveled to Hawai’i (15-12, 11-5) Saturday night to finish their home-and-home series with the Rainbow Wahine, ultimately losing 69-60. Dr. Brandon Martin named new CSUN athletics director

Dr. Brandon Martin, a former athlete with ties to the San Fernando Valley, was named Monday as the new athletics director at CSUN. New Athletic Director to be announced Monday

CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison will be introducing the new athletic director Monday afternoon, who will be taking over for former director Rick Mazzuto, who stepped down in November 2012. In Mazzuto’s absence, Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations Ashlie Kite has been serving as the athletics administrator in charge. CSUN’s search for athletic director continues with third open forum

Continuing the search for a new athletic director, CSUN held their third open forum Thursday afternoon, welcoming Brandon Martin, University of Oklahoma’s senior associate athletics director for administration. Northridge previously hosted Ken Weiner, UCLA’s senior associate athletics director for business operations and Janet Lucas, UC Riverside’s executive associate athletic director.
