The Cal State Northridge men’s basketball team returned home for the first time since Feb. 4. Since then, the Matadors have played five road games, including yesterday’s game at Pacific. During the road trip, CSUN went 2-2 with wins at UC Davis and UC Riverside.
Recently, the city of Anaheim decided not to appeal a court’s decision that allowed the Angels to keep their new name. Some of you may be aware that the Angels changed their name last season from Anaheim Angels to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I know that some of you who did not know this are wondering why a team would change their name to this.

With the 66-55 loss, the Matadors lost their fifth straight game and third straight at home.
I do not care what anyone else says, this day should be a national holiday. Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most intense days on the calendar. I know it is not as important as the Fourth the July and it does not have the religious implications of Christmakkah or Passover.

Lucas acknowledged the Blue Ribbon Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics began to investigate Matador athletics and will hopefully recommend improvements to the facilities on campus.
