Staff Editorial: Education after graduation

Graduation may signify the culmination of a student’s academic career, but learning does not end with a diploma or cap and gown. Education becomes a choice. Bleak economy doesn’t stymie graduating art students’ aspirations

Finding a job right out of college is not the sure thing it used to be as budget cuts and layoffs plague all divisions of labor. Some arts and media majors have planned ahead and prepared themselves with jobs and internships after graduation to help them get their foot in the door, though even work experience won’t necessarily guarantee a job. “I got an internship with Sony pictures as a post [production assistant], so I’m going to be doing that… Read more

Textbook Deals

If you’re like me, you enjoy getting a good deal on stuff you buy. Being back at school this week, I realized once again that the campus bookstore is definitely not the place for savings. So I wanted to share some alternatives with you: 1. Check if your books are available at the CSUN Oviatt Library. If they don’t have the requested title, try Interlibrary Loan. 2.
