USU considers building a multicultural center in future

Daily Sundial A multicultural center is being considered by University Student Union officials and could reach the planning stage this year or in 2007. If built, the center would help people gain exposure to other cultures at CSUN. The center is still only a proposed idea, said Debra Hammond, USU executive director.

CSUN sweeps Nevada in season home-opener

Daily Sundial The Cal State Northridge baseball team opened its first home stand of the season in ideal fashion as they swept the Nevada Wolf Pack at Matador field over the weekend. The Matadors pitching staff held Nevada to five runs in three games. The staff also received help from the offense as the Matadors scored 26 runs in the three-game series.

CSU bans booze at all campuses events

Daily Sundial Alcoholic drinks will no longer be served at any California State University athletic event, according to an executive order issued by the CSU Chancellor. Executive Order 966, released in December 2005, places regulations on alcohol advertisement on CSU campuses.
