Hill and Jenkins playing at the same time
The two-point guard experiment is taking place these moments and its result is four points for UCSB and two CSUN turnovers. Matadors still up though. 23-21. Never mind. Make that UCSB up 24-23.

He’s the best interview. He made a 3-pointer and playfulled yelled “shut up!” at the fans. He gives you really good stuff to write about. Win or lose. Will that happen tonight? We’ll see. Or perhaps I’ll interview Mark Hill. CSUN’s up 19-16.
Rodrigue Mels has come off the bench to spark the Matadors. He’s got five quick points and CSUN’s off to a 15-11 lead as Willie Galick completes a 3-point play. These UCSB fans are funny. After Josh Jenkins committed a foul, he said: ‘man, that was defense,’ only to have a fan shout back at him “that’s a foul!” Ok and now they’re getting personal. The Gauchos’ leading scorer just committed his second foul of the night and he’s going to have to sit out for a while. There’s still 16 minutes remaining in the first half and CSUN’s up 8-5.
Haynes has been helped to his feet and off the court. He walked, so he seems okay. The Matador had to wear a neckbrace, though. I very much doubt he’ll return. Game is ready to resume here.
He picked up his legs but he hasn’t gotten up yet. They’re still attending him in the middle of the court.
Rob Haynes dove for a basketball and didn’t get up. He’s down. This looks really bad. He’s moving around but seems dazed. It looks like he hit his head on the wood. He’s bleeding. All his teammates are looking at him. Braswell is also checking on him.
Starting lineups: CSUN: Vincent Cordell, Rob Haynes, Kenny Daniels, Tremaine Townsend and Josh Jenkins UCSB: Jaimé Serna, D.J. Posley, Paul Roemer, Chris Devine and Will Brew Jr. Braswell surprises us with Cordell as a starter. And the ole, ole chants started.
A few CSUN fans showed up to the yellow-fest that the Thunderdome is tonight. Tons of Gaucho fans here tonight and I’m sitting right in front of them so I’m sure I’m going to hear lots of good stuff tonight. Hopefully I don’t go deaf. The UCSB band is wearing ponchos.
