Like many other people, I love shoes. A couple weeks ago I discovered Payless had started a green line of shoes that cost less than $30. I was not surprised because it seems that everyone has jumped on the bandwagon of going green. At the beginning of last week I learned some disappointing news. It was brought to my attention that President Koester removed the CSUN Farmers Market from her agenda. In other words, we are not having a farmers market on campus. This news arrived unexpectedly. Up until now all seemed to be going well. Although there had been some setbacks things were moving forward — slowly – but forward. CSUN comes up short against UCLA at Matador field losing 2-0. Not much happend in the second half expect that CSUN outscored the Bruins 7-6.

The Matadors defense looks great in the second half but on the offensive side can’t create anything.

The Bruins are showing the Matadors why they are the third rank team in the country. UCLA leads CSUN 2-0 at halftime. UCLA Kristina Larsen scored the first goal in the 17th minute and Lauren Cheney scored the second goal in the 43rd minute of play.
