But I seriously believe Cal Poly’s Titus Shelton is getting mugged in the post at times. Still, he only has two free throws to show for it. Oh well, I guess that’s the home court advantage they talk about. And not to sound impartial again, but Tony Osunsanmi’s free throws aren’t exactly a thing of beauty. He’s 0-2.

The Matadors are making everything they throw in and Cal Poly can’t even make a wide-open 3-pointer. The Matadors lead 24-6 with seven minutes to go in the first half. It certainly looks like a No. 2 vs. a No. 9. Titus Shelton can’t buy a bucket, or a whistle, for the Mustangs.

Josh Jenkins has had two turnovers early on and just came off the floor slumping his shoulders and looking down. CSUN’s up 13-6 with 11:47 to go in the first half. Cal Poly missed 10 of its first 11 shots. Now back to the game, where Chaz Thomas almost fell into me.

That’s Bobby Braswell’s message to the refs early on as they’ve been stopping the game constantly with fouls. They just called another one. I don’t think Braswell minds this one as it’s an and-one for Therin Taylor. CSUN’s up 9-2 early on. Josh Jenkins just checked in.

Josh Jenkins sang the anthem along with teammates and is in uniform although his ankle looked to be wrapped a bit more than usual. We’ll have to wait and see if he’ll start or they’ll take it easy on him tonight. Five minutes til game time and the Matadome isn’t even halfway full yet.

For all the worries surrounding forward Tremaine Townsend’s ankle, it looks like Josh Jenkins is the one worrying Head Coach Bobby Braswell the most. Jenkins sustained a mild sprained ankle during practice Monday and was wearing a protective boot Tuesday. That was his word to describe it as the Matadors came out to practice Monday at the Matadome, even though he seemed to not want to put pressure on the foot. A team official called his injury a high-ankle spraing, but Townsend said he’s be ready to go for Wednesday’s game against Cal Poly.
