CSUN Student Dietetic and Food Science Association hosts barbeque

The Student Dietetic and Food Science Association (SDFSA) held a fundraiser and commemorated the start of National Nutrition Month by hosting a barbeque at Matador Square. “We want let everybody know what SDFSA is about,” said Karmen Ovsepyan, 24, nutrition graduate student and SDFSA president. Volunteers served hamburgers, veggie-burgers and soft drinks.  The association’s health counselors were available to answer questions while patrons enjoyed their food. CSUN students demonstrate during March 2 Day of Action for Education

CSUN’s protest against budget cuts to California’s higher education incorporated lessons from last year’s demonstration. The idea of education as a human right drew mixed reactions from the student body in the day-long protest Wednesday. Students protesting during Day of Action seek to educate others

Students protesting hope to educate others about the budget cuts and the negative effects they are having on education. CSU budget cuts protesters start marches on and around campus for Day of Action

The number of protesters gathering in front of the Oviatt Library began to gradually grow around 11:20 a.m. Students first began to gather in front of the library at 10:20 a.m. Bayramian Hall was one of the locations visited around this time by a group of protesters who passed by Admissions and Records and proceeded to the second floor. CSUN students are met by police as they come out to protest in Day of Action

CSUN students are participating in a Day of Action by protesting the the recent tuition hikes and budget cuts to the CSU and UC systems. The march started at 10 a.m. in front of the Oviatt Library. Police can be seen throughout the campus and nearby streets. Camera up for grabs in CSUN’s USU table tennis tournament

Students competed against each other in the 5th tournament of the USU’s spring 2011 table tennis tournament on Tuesday in the Games Room. Water polo: CSUN goes 1-3 in UC Irvine Invitational

IRVINE, Calif. – The Matadors came out 1-3 over the weekend at the UC Irvine Invitational at Corona Del Mar High School, which featured the nation’s top eight teams and 15 of the top 20 water polo squads.
