Banana bread made easy

Easy, From-Scratch Banana Bread So, I had a couple bananas that were turning brown this past week so I decided to try my hand at making some banana bread. I had never made any type of bread, yeasty or otherwise. So, I was truthfully a bit nervous. In the end it came out beautifully. Next time I would make sure that all of the bananas used are completely browned to ensure max-banana-goodness.   Ingredients: 1 3/4 c sifted unbleached flour 2… Read more

King’s Burgers offers quality and convenience for CSUN students

Kings

King’s Burgers doesn’t really stand out much. It’s one of the many eateries located on Reseda Boulevard near CSUN, and driving by King’s, you might think that it is just another burger place. And on the outside, this may be true. But, on the inside – not so much. King’s offers an East-meets-West menu, so to speak. From the West, you can order the classic burgers, fries, salad, tacos and sandwiches, while the Eastern side of the menu offers a… Read more

Minoti Vaishnav has accomplished more by age 25 than many will in a lifetime. The CTVA screenwriting major grew up in Mumbai. One of three auxiliary non-profit organizations on campus that also… Read more

CSUN grad student turns to activism as a way of life

The walls inside Room 130 in Jerome Richfield Hall are nearly completely covered with Chicana/o and Latina/o art, protest posters and photographs of demonstrating social justice activists who all happen to be young students. A red flag with the United Farm Workers’ black eagle in the center hangs above a wide table where several MEChA students sit and talk.
