Car makers pressured to build more fuel efficient vehicles
The Environmental Protection Agency along with the U.S. Department of Transportation proposed by 2025 that all vehicles made in the U.S. will have a combined fuel efficiency of 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025. As gas prices rise, the increase in demand for fuel-efficient vehicles by consumers have grown with them.
