Police teaches CSUN community how to detect suspicious packages

The Department of Police Services released a statement last week reminding the CSUN community how to recognize and handle suspicious mail and packages. Professor Karren Baird-Olson took part in the walkout last thursday, March 4. She described it as a peaceful event until Olson said an officer who moved from the line police had formed in front of the demonstrators pulled her.

CSUN MEChA members claim harassment by undercover LAPD officers

CSUN student organization, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (MEChA) said they were made the target of surveillance during their first meeting of this semester. Car hits pedestrian on Zelzah Avenue

A car hit a female pedestrian at 11 a.m. on Zelzah Avenue between Nordhoff and Plummer Streets, next to G4 parking lot. The female pedestrian was taken to Northridge Medical Center, said LAPD officer Roy Agbanawag.
