The saying “it isn’t over until it’s over” never rang more true for CSUN’s non-conference victory over Cal Baptist Friday night at the Matadome. The Matadors (3-5, 1-3 MPSF) won a five-set nail-biter 25-15, 25-20, 19-25, 23-25, 15-3 after they nearly gave away a match in which they were up 2-0 to the Lancers (1-5). Men’s Volleyball: Matadors drop final game of season

The Matadors concluded their season just the way they started it: with a straight-set loss. The first was against UC Santa Barbara, but this time it was by fifth-ranked Long Beach State (14-13,12-10 MPSF) Saturday at the Walter Pyramid. CSUN (7-22, 5-17 MPSF) failed to win due its inconsistency on the attack and the Matadors where outhit by the 49ers .319 to .033. Men’s volleyball plays Long Beach State in last MPSF match of season

The Matadors (7-21, 5-16 MPSF) will play their final match of the season in an MPSF contest against the Long Beach State 49ers. This is the first time since 2001 the Matadors will not be competing in the MPSF Tournament. Prior to this year, CSUN had finished among the top eight in each and every season. CSUN Volleyball: Matadors lose third straight match

Junior setter Matt Stork hammered down a career-high 24 kills in a losing effort against the Pacific Tigers (10-15, 4-13 MPSF). The Cal State Northridge volleyball team (6-18, 4-13 MPSF) lost their third match in a row. Men’s Volleyball: CSUN seeks second home win of the season

The Cal State Northridge men’s volleyball team will take on Loyola University Chicago tonight in its first non-conference matchup since Feb. 5 when the Matadors traveled East to face Penn State and Ohio State.
