The Advising Resource Center and Educational Opportunity Program organized an event on Wednesday that was geared toward first-generation college students, as well as lower-classmen, in the hopes of informing and familiarizing these students with the types of degrees and departments offered at CSUN.

Freshman Ali Cohen, who has not yet declared a major, said she feels pressure from her parents to choose a major. Cohen said she feels there are many options and that she still has enough time to decide on a major.
