I would like take the time to thank each and every member of the CSUN AIDS Walk Coalition. Last Sunday, you woke up early, put on your walking shoes and took steps toward eliminating ignorance and raising funds for AIDS awareness and research. This year, the AIDS Walk coalition consisted of 19 teams, not including the teams that chose to be a part of main the CSUN team.
Thanks to the Black Student Union, the Colleges of Business and Engineering, CSUN FASA, CSUN MISA, CSUN NAACP, CSUN PHIRA/MA, CSUN SigEp and AOPi, Deaf CSUNians, Alpha Sigma Theta, Lambda Sigma Pi, Gamma Zeta Alpha, Latinas Triumfadoras, Multicultural Psychology Association, One Blood, the Oviatt Library, Phi Beta Sigma, Phi Delta Epsilon, Pi Theta Kappa, the Cool Kids, Phi Psi Omega, Hermanas Unidas, LGBTA, Lighthouse, NSCS, SHPE, ASCE and any other group member of the CSUN Coalition. Together, our coalition consisted of 730 registered walkers, which is 330 walkers more than last year’s coalition.
Although we were unable to take a picture of all 730 walkers together, we welcome any AIDS walk photos for the Matador Involvement Center Web site. We will know the total amount of money from of our fundraising sometime after Nov. 12. Special thanks to my two co-captains, Raychel Espiritu and Mallory Montague.
Can’t wait for next year’s walk!
