Professor Maryellen Clemons of the theatre department died Feb. 7 due to lung cancer that spread to her pancreas, said Bill Taylor, theatre manager. Clemons’ career as a musical theatre professor, director, choreographer and department acting chair spanned 30 years. She is survived by a brother, Jim Clemons, Taylor said. Viewing will be on Thursday between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. followed by the funeral on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
