Don’t count out the Jets against the Colts

The NFL underdog New York Jets, with rookie Mark Sanchez and rookie head coach Rex Ryan look to have a Cinderella ending when they go to Indianapolis to face the Colts in the AFC championship gamer.

As long as the Jets play a perfect game and their defense stays intact there is no reason why they can’t have a story book ending.

The last time the Jets played the Colts they won and many have said it was because the Colts played the secondary line and took out Peyton Manning in the fourth quarter.

Truth is if they played the great defense that they have and run the ball they have an outstaning chance to win the game.

The Jets have got this far, being the wild card team and every game up to this point they have proven themselves to be Super Bowl contenders.

For the Jets to come close to winning this game they need to be productive on their offense.

Their game against the favored San Diego Chargers, seen them win by their passing game.

Sanchez had a two-yard pass for his first touchdown in the game and then another pass when Shonn Green went for a 53-yard touchdown to give the Jets a 17-14 win.

The Jets, who are known for the running game, will probably rely on it again against the Colts.

They will need to be strong on their running game and their number one defense will need to hold the Colts offense.

Even though Manning was great in the game against the Baltimore Ravens their offense hasn’t been scoring many points.

Saturdays’ game, saw the Colts only gain 42 yards on 25 carries.

Manning had a good first half throwing two touchdowns and throwing for 246 yards.

With a well rested team, which had a bye the pervious week, the Colts looked great and well prepared.

Sanchez and the Jets haven’t had a rest, but have gained momentum going into this (conference) championship game.

Don’t send the Jets packing just yet.
