A new branding agency has been hired to improve CSUN’s visibility to the community, announced during today’s Associated Students (AS) senate meeting.

160 over 90, whose clients include UCLA, the Miami Dolphins and American Eagle Outfitters, will work with athletics and the VPAC to gain more recognition, according to Talar Alexanian, AS vice president said.

Tiffany Zaich, AS president, thanked the other AS senators for attending the Student Success Fee Open Forum on Tuesday. The forum was presented by the California State University (CSU) Chancellor’s Office. At CSUN the fee is known as the Campus Quality Fee.

“Thank you for all your comments and input about the Campus Quality Fee,” she said.

There will be another open forum tomorrow at CSULA from 12:30pm-2pm or online at www.calstate.edu/studentsuccessfeeforum/

Talar Alexanian, vice president, said she was working on improving transparency with the fee.

“I’m working on putting together a package so students can see exactly where their money goes,” she said.

Funds were allocated for disabled access and interpretive services and to the Animation Student League club.

AS allocated $12,000 that can be used to improve access to student organizations. The Animation Student League received $500 for speaker fees and advertisement costs.

The next AS meeting is scheduled for Oct. 6 at 9 a.m. in the University Student Union Grand Salon.
