For some Matadors, finding the time to exercise is tough. Most busy students want to get in shape, but fitting in a short workout at the Student Recreation Center in between classes is simply out of the question. The 7 Minute Workout Challenge app solves this issue by packing in a great workout routine than can be done anytime, anywhere.

The 7 Minute Workout Challenge revolves around the concept of high-intensity circuit training. This type of training includes a combination of 12 resistance training and aerobic exercises that can all be done with just your own body weight, a chair and a wall. These are performed for 30 seconds each in rapid succession, with 10 second rest intervals. The exercises are a mixture of push-ups, pull-ups, planks, squats and more.

Included in the app are full video, audio, image and text instruction for each exercise, and a timer which tells you when to move and when to rest. It also features charts and graphs to track your activity and weight, which can provide additional motivation to students who like to monitor and visualize their progress.

Though it may seem to be too good to be true, a 2013 study shows that just seven minutes of high-intensity exercise with very little rest in between can boost your metabolism and leave you feeling great for the rest of the day.

The app costs $2.99 and is available on iPad, iPhone and Android devices.
