Monday, Feb. 15

  • A known suspect shoved the victim at University Hall. The victim was attempting to help the suspect with information.
  • An unknown suspect defecated in a stairwell of the B3 parking structure at unknown hours.
  • A purse was stolen from the Student Recreation Center by unknown suspects. The purse was left unattended on a counter within the woman’s locker room.
  • An unknown suspect broke a bedroom window of a room at the University Park Apartments 5.
  • An unknown suspect stole a bicycle outside of the University Park Apartments 16. The bicycle was secured to a bike rack with a cable lock.

Tuesday, Feb. 16

  • An unknown suspect stole the keys to the USU Mercado around Feb. 13 and then later entered the store to steal a couple bags of potato chips.
  • Officers arrested the suspect, after having been reported on being suspicious around Nordhoff and Etiwanda. The suspect had a misdemeanor bench warrant issued for his arrest. The suspect was booked at the LAPD Van Nuys jail.
  • An unknown suspect broke off the handles of four student lockers in Cypress Hall. The lockers were searched and no property was missing, according to the log.
  • An unknown suspect out of New York hacked into a student’s Moodle account and sent a threatening message.

Wednesday, Feb. 17

  • Officers arrested the passenger of a vehicle after conducting a vehicle stop at the G9 parking structure and observing that the suspect was attempting to hide a knife. The passenger was arrested and booked at the LAPD Van Nuys jail.
  • Officers arrested a passenger of a vehicle after the officer conducted a vehicle stop at the G9 parking structure and saw a container of marijuana in plain view. One of the passengers claimed ownership and was arrested and released with a notice to appear.
  • An unknown suspect broke off the handle of a student’s locker in Cypress Hall and took a laptop and other items.
  • Two residents of the University Park Apartments 4 were referred for drug-law violations.

Thursday, Feb. 18

  • An unknown vehicle collided into the rear bumper of the victim’s vehicle at the bookstore complex parking lot. The suspect fled the scene without reporting the accident.
  • Six residents of University Park Apartments 5, 10 and 12 were referred for drug-law violations.
  • An unknown suspect stole a bicycle that was secured to a bike rack outside of Cypress Hall.
  • An unknown suspect stole a cart from the University Student Union. It was later recovered at a later date.

Friday, Feb. 19

  • Three suspects were arrested by CSUN officers at various times for displaying an unauthorized disabled placard at the B3 parking structure. They were cited and released at the scene, according to the crime log.
  • An unknown suspect stole a bicycle outside the University Park Apartments

Saturday, Feb. 20

  • A cart was stolen from the University Park Apartments and later recovered the following day.

Sunday, Feb. 21

  • An unknown suspect challenged the victim to a fight outside of Redwood Hall after the victim reminded the suspect that CSUN is a smoke-free campus.
