During her time trapped in the tree, while rescuers struggle to extract her, she experiences something bizarre. She visits heaven. When she’s finally rescued, she isn’t dead, she escapes the tree unscathed without even a single scratch. The book moves through the experience of what Annabel’s family went through during her recovery and the aftermath of her visit to heaven.
