Marching for peace
September 27, 2005
Hundreds of thousands of people gathered together in Washington D.C., San Francisco, Downtown Los Angeles and other cities around the world Sept. 24 to demand an end to the war in Iraq. Men and women of all ages and races, including members of CSUN’s Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztlan student organization, also gathered together against what they saw as a slow government response to Hurricane Katrina after it hit the Gulf Coast, specifically in the New Orleans area.
