A Long Island based winery has released a line of wines to “commemorate” the 10 year anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The line has not only come out very close to the anniversary but is also being sold for the price of $19.11 per bottle. The winery’s web site says a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the wine will be donated to the “9/11 Memorial and to honor and remember the victims of the terror attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and near Shanksville, PA.” The wines are limited edition with only around 200-250 cases of each produced. While this is not the only “charity” wine the company produces, it has grabbed the most attention. Do you think this wine was made with charity in mind or to create “shock value” and gain sales and publicity?
