I am shocked and disappointed that the botanic garden here on campus is getting demolished. This has been a piece of CSUN’s history since the days of it being called San Fernando Valley State College. I have been walking and eating in the garden often to get the moments of solitude that one needs for sanity in their lives. I have experienced the peace, beauty, and tranquility that this garden has had to offer students as well as other people that may take a walk through. You are not just getting rid of history, but you are destroying nature and the wildlife that is a part of it. I am ashamed at CSUN for allowing this destruction to occur. This really does prove the old saying that man is the biggest threat to nature and wildlife.
