Originally Published September 25, 2007 I have accepted that my bladder is not especially efficient. I have grown accustomed to frequent bathroom breaks, and I fully expect that nature will call at the most inopportune times. By acknowledging this, I have been able to make a tenuous peace with my body, accepting the sad fact that I will never be able to speed by rest stops on the highway.

High school students display an artwork at annual show

Select high school students from all over the valley will showcase their art at the 11th annual high school art invitational at CSUN's art gallery on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. The show, which features student work from over 30 high schools, will display select mixed media pieces of art selected by teachers.

Many students were engrossed in a passionate lecture Wednesday, given by the co-founder of Greenpeace International and Pulitzer prize nominee, Rex Weyler. The topic of Weyler's speech was titled "Ordinary Courage -What must we do today to offer future generations fair access to a sustainable and enjoyable life?" Weyler addressed the time he has spent in environmental activism and what "ordinary people" can do today to change the world.

USU: Fall health and wellness classes remain virtually ignored

Despite a lot of advertising, many short courses and wellness series events offered in conjunction with the University Student Union's Life Skills and Leadership Institute have low attendance rates. Directed by David Cronenberg, the film takes place in modern day London, and focuses on a newborn baby left orphaned by her 14-year-old Russian prostitute mother. Naomi Watts plays Anna, a well-wishing midwife who is trying to track down the baby's family through a diary she found in the deceased mother's purse.
