Matadors start four-game home stand

The CSUN women's soccer team starts a four-game home stand this weekend with a non-conference game against Cal State Bakersfield (4-10-1) and a conference game against UC Irvine (9-5-1, 3-1). The Matadors have lost six of their last seven games and need to win their last three conference games to even have a shot at making the post-season.

CSUN splits results on last road trip of season

The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team split their weekend games, beating UC Riverside on Friday 2-0, then losing to Cal State Fullerton on Sunday 3-0. Friday's victory was the Matadors' first conference win of the season and also snapped their five-game losing streak.

Matadors finish 12th

The Cal State Northridge men's golf team hosted its annual Bill Cullum Invitational this week, finishing in 12th place overall. UC Santa Barbara took the team title, with a total score of 870, while their own Brian Hollenbeck claimed the individual title with rounds of 71-71-70, finishing at 4-under-par 212.

Matadors lose for fifth straight time

After taking an early 1-0 lead, the Cal State Northridge women's soccer team allowed three straight unanswered goals to conference opponent Long Beach State to lose their fifth in a row, and remain winless in three conference games this season. The 3-1 loss dropped the Matadors' record to 2-9-1 overall and 0-3 in the Big West Conference.

Matadors will look for first Big West win at home Sunday

Although the Cal State Northridge women's soccer team, (8-2-1) will play just one match this weekend, they will face a hot team in Long Beach State (9-4-0). The 49ers have won seven of their last eight matches and remain in first place in the Big West with a 2-0 conference record.

The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team opened conference play over the weekend with back-to-back losses on the road, first to the Aggies of UC Davis on Friday, then to the Pacific Tigers on Sunday. Both losses were by a score of 2-1, resulting in a 4-game losing streak and dropping the Matadors' record to 2-8-1 overall.

Matadors to open Big West play on the road

CSUN takes second place at Shootout at Angel Park

The Cal State Northridge men's golf team finished second in this week's Shootout at Angel Park Tournament in Las Vegas, hosted by Hawai'i. The second place finish out of 17 teams was a season-best for the Matadors, who finished 17 strokes behind the UNLV Running Rebels, winners of the team title.

Matadors to play Waves and Toreros

CSUN defeated by sixth-ranked UCLA

The Cal State Northridge women's soccer team lost to the sixth-ranked UCLA Bruins on Sunday at Matador Soccer Field, despite a strong and improved effort that has the players and coaching staff looking up. The Bruins got things started at the 28:51 mark of the first half when sophomore defender Lauren Wilmoth's cross from outside of the box on the right side was put past CSUN sophomore goalie Kellie Drenner by UCLA sophomore forward Lauren Cheney.

Men’s golf team may be CSUN’s best ever

The Cal State Northridge men's golf team will welcome in a solid recruiting class in addition to their four returning letter winners from last year's team to what head coach Jim Bracken feels may be the best team he has ever coached. The Matadors finished sixth in the Big West conference last year, but are hoping for a better finish with an improved team this year.
