Dear Editor: I wanted to bring up the issue of human trafficking and sex trade around the world. I feel that it is a very important issue because it uproots many women and children everyday from their homes and gives them a life of fear. Most people don't know that girls as young as ten are being sold into the sex trade.

Dear Editor, I want to start by saying you are doing a great job! But I must say I am astonished to see an ad for legal marijuana. As a student newspaper you should keep in mind what we are preaching or advocating for. I understand it is legal under California law, but it is still illegal under federal law and people are getting arrested for selling or using it everyday.

Dear Editor, I am graduating this semester and I thought I would not feel right about leaving without thanking a few people. First, I would like to thank president Koester for doing everything she could to alleviate our parking issues for this semester.

High school is a place where students are still growing up and maturing, but they should not be restricted from freedom of speech and subject to sexism. At Grover Cleveland High School , the school newspaper was confiscated because it had a diagram of a vagina on the front page to accompany the article on V-Day, which is a day dedicated to spreading knowledge of abuse against women.

Dear Editor, I hardly see how the flap over the Grover Cleveland High School newspaper Valentine's Day issue is "censorship." It's been a long established principle that underage people are to be protected from sexually explicit materials. Need I comment how under the circumstances explicit depictions of genitalia would be considered "sexual harassment?" Perhaps those people who are offended by the female genitals being thusly displayed have grounds for a sexual harassment lawsuit against the writers and editors of Le Sabre, as well as against the high school students wearing the T-shirts shown in your article.

Dear Editor, Although I am no longer a student at California State University of Northridge, I am outraged with the recent invitation of Norman G. Finkelstein. ?While I accept criticism of Israel, Finkelstein's so-called criticism isn't really criticism at all.

Dear Editor, I am completely outraged that CSUN chooses not to observe the national holiday of President's Day. ?They find ways to observe "holidays," such as Cesear Chavez's birthday, but they do not honor Lincoln or Washington's Birthdays. ?I find it very disrespectful and anti-American.

Dear Editor, Reading the article about the evangelical Christian protest at the library greatly saddened me. These people, while decrying the loss of the true Christian faith, have ignored and broken the one command that we as Christian's are supposed to follow, simply "Love Thy Neighbor.

Democrats have to mess with Texas to win

defaultuser February 13, 2008
They say you shouldn't mess with Texas. But If you are a democratic candidate looking to gain more delegates, then maybe you should. On March 4, the hefty sum of 228 delegates will be fought for between the current front-runner presidential democratic candidate, Barack Obama, and his rival candidate, Sen.

Dear Editor, As delighted as I am by the CSUN Men's basketball team's excellent showing so far this season, I am embarrassed by the failure of the Women's team.? 0-20!? 0-10 in conference!? Not since the dark days of Division Two have the Matador women played so poorly.

McCain’s feared draft may not be so bad

defaultuser February 13, 2008
Current polls show John McCain is the leading candidate for the Republican Party. For 18-year-old boys and older, the thought of McCain as president means a possible draft to power the military he will need for his plan for the War in Iraq. Assuming the draft would only go after males, most people are looking at the negative aspects of a draft.
