Boxers fight in first bout

The Matador Boxing Team attended a series of open signup fights at the Eddie Hereda Boxing Club in East Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon that resulted in one win and one loss. Of the 17 members of the team, only four went to the fights and only two boxers that were there actually had an opportunity to get in the ring, due to the lack of open sign-ups and weight division match-ups.

Recently I had the pleasure of reading an article in the Daily Sundial about alcohol awareness. The article discussed a grant that was given to CSUN to spread awareness and touched on a vital issue that surrounds the lives of a many college students, over excess and indulgence.

Increased theft at the Oviatt Library

A recent string of felony thefts have occurred at the Oviatt Library for which campus police have yet to apprehend or identify any of the suspects involved. During the fourth week of the semester, between Feb. 12 and 13, a group of unidentified suspects were believed to be responsible for thefts in the library.

Strong-arm robberies continue, suspects unidentified

Campus police have yet to identify any suspects in the continuing investigation of a series of strong-arm robberies that have recently occurred on and near campus. A campus crime alert, issued on Feb. 19 by campus police, addressed the issue of the robberies that have occurred within the past two weeks.

It was around 9 p.m. on Wednesday. It was considerably calm and quiet inside the Bren Events Center at University of California Irvine, despite the fact that The Mars Volta was playing that night.
