Tax return files delayed during transfer

About 15 tax returns forms were delayed in April when a CSUN tax assistant program processed files through an online transfer service. When the CSUN's Wayne and Roberta Colmer Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program submitted tax return forms through e-file, an online service, for the first time in April, the files returned corrupted.

Foster youths learn life lessons at Teen Forum 2006

High school students from all over California arrived by van and bus to spend the weekend at the CSUN University Park Apartments for what they hoped would be a motivational experience at the Teen Forum 2006. Most of the students, whose ages ranged between 16 to 18, have been in foster care system for many years.

Financial aid education lacks among college students

Loan debt is common among many students who do not manage money carefully during and after college. Gregorio Alcantar, Debt Management Counselor of Financial Aid, said the cost of tuition and housing usually exceeds a student's income level, which makes student loans and grants the only way to graduate in time.
