Members of Zeta Beta Tau, Pi Kappa Alpha and the Inter-Fraternity Council said they were either already moved out, or in the process of moving out, when a city attorney announced at a Northridge city council meeting that the fraternities had to leave their homes.

Although this is a hypothetical situation, it's one way CSUN could use the $30,000 annual raise President Jolene Koester is scheduled to receive if approved at the Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday in Long Beach.

PPM building subtropical rainforest on campus

CSUN's Physical Plant Management is working on a project that will use waste products to create a subtropical rainforest environment on campus that will leave other universities green with envy. "We're demonstrating to the industry that it can be done," said Tom Brown, executive director of PPM and coordinator for the project.

SoCal: Southern California Art of the 1960s and 70s is a collection of LACMA's own pieces from homegrown artists.

Palestinian, Israeli talk peace

A former Israeli Air Force Captain and a Palestinian liberation fighter talked to CSUN students Monday about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and showed that enemies can be allies in the struggle for peace. Yonatan Shapira and Suliman al-Chatib are members of Combatants for Peace, a group that was created in 2005 and is comprised of former soldiers from the Israeli Defense Forces and Palestinians who have committed acts of violence for the cause of liberation.
