The cumbling facades of the Historic Core district evoke a forgotten version of downtown Los Angeles. A century ago, fashionable Angelinos went to Broadway's theatre district like New Yorkers do today, and what's now known as the Old Bank District was once considered the "Wall Street of the West.

Hatching Eggs

Like many CSUN students, film student Nick Kahn found ways to keep himself busy this summer. While some students worked at summer jobs or took extra classes, Kahn wrote and produced a short film, titled "The Egg Farmer." After raising money for equipment, props, etc.

Zombie Come Alive

Gloria Galvan spends a lot of her time dead - or at least pretending to be. A third-year theatre major, three of her roles this semester have been deceased characters, two of which were zombies. As a murder victim in CSUN's Threepenny Opera, Galvan was rolled onto the stage with other victims set to the tune of "Mac the Knife.
