A crowd of nearly 30 at the Caf? Inquiry coffeehouse in Hollywood, Calif. welcomed LAPD crime scene investigator and fingerprint specialist, Cathy DeYoung, June 27 to discuss the grisly but fascinating details of her career and to dispel any rumors or misconceptions caused by television crime dramas.

The college years are a trying time for most. Many of us are at that halfway point in life. We yearn for both the simplicity and comfort of childhood and for a new and mysterious, but stimulating future. At the same time, we are enveloped in a constant balancing act with time management, student loans and responsibility.

A new biology 100 program starting this fall offers students more enrollment spaces, a more advanced laboratory and hands-on experience never before available to CSUN students. With online lectures and virtual labs that can be accessed even from the comfort of a student's home, this new project - the first top-to-bottom renovation in 20 years - will be able to enroll 400 extra students per semester.
