Governor appoints student trustee

CSU, union agree to pay raise terms

After months of negotiating, California State University and the CSU Employees Union have reached an agreement that will allow union members to apply for a .25 percent raise every 12 months. The agreement, which was signed on Jan. 23 at the Board of Trustees meeting, indicates that an employee who applies to receive a quarter of a percent raise from an instate-wide progression fund must submit an application.

FAFSA application now online

The March 3 FAFSA application deadline is quickly approaching, but instead of combing through a thorough questionnaire gauging one's ability to pay tuition, students can breeze through it online now. CSUN Financial Aid Director Lili Vidal said providing the application online is an effort to make the application process go smoother for students.

Student shares reflections in ‘Firearm Fossils’ exhibit at botanic garden

On the western end of CSUN's Botanic Garden, where trees shield you from the sounds of people walking by and singing birds block out the noise of the construction site, is the art exhibit "Firearm Fossils." The exhibit consists of 10 pieces of concrete imprinted with images of guns.

Ellen Page plays Juno MacGuff, a wise-cracking, quick- tongued 16-year-old girl who sleeps with her friend, Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera), a lanky boy on the track team.

Murakami exhibit at MOCA transports viewers to a new world

Those who can remember watching Sailor Moon and obsessing over Pokemon cards will be easily immersed in the world of Takashi Murakami. In the new exhibit, Murakami, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the viewer is transported to a world of doe eyed beauties, floating rosy-cheeked creatures, and 1970's hippie-esque daisies.
